- TASTER If you have taken another Mountain Bike Certification Course and want to learn more about biking and instructing, then the PMBI Level 1 Refresher will act as a good review of what you know, what you can learn, and show you a little about why the PMBI courses are setting the standards in the industry right now.
- PREPARATION If you would like to take the PMBI Level 2 Course but want to brush up on your skills, knowledge and teaching, the PMBI Evaluator can help you with all these during this short course, and further let you know how to best prepare (what you need to do) before the PMBI Level 2 Course.

PMBI LEVEL 3 Skills Coach
5 day Experienced Advanced Instructor Course
It is the aim of the PMBI Level 3 Skill Coach Course to help develop a strong network of well-rounded, fully equipped coaches to not only take their athletes to the next level of competition, but also the sport of Downhill Mountain Biking to the next level of professionalism.
The PMBI Level 3 course is for experienced instructors and coaches in the Mountain Bike Industry who are primarily involved in the coaching of expert riders, athletes and/or racers who are competing from the amateur level, right up to the National and World Cup stage.
This course is designed to equip coaches with the tools they need to help take their athletes to the next level of riding skill consistency and awareness, and therefore results! Many elite riders/racers (amateur and pro) are naturally very fast on a bike. It is the coach's job to be able to critically assess their athletes performance in terms of their mental, physical and technical abilities, preparation and performance, then plan and coach accordingly; to make them even faster.
The Level 3 course largely focuses on training a coach to assess, plan for and develop the technical skills of their athlete. Furthermore, PMBI Level 3 Skills Coaches will be able to train their own athletes how to coach and analyze themselves, making for an incredibly efficient athlete-coach-results relationship.
"If a rider knows why he crashed because of what he did or didn't do technically, he is going to be able to objectively look at his mistakes (crashes) in far more detail than, 'I missed my line, got all squirrely and went off'; and so learn better how to not make the same mistake again. 'My hips were too far to the inside of the turn so I lost balance... that caused me to miss my line. I need to control my hip movement better in steep hairpin berms so I can hold my line and speed down the rest of the trail.'. Technically stronger and more aware racers ride smarter, more consistently and so in the long term, faster as well."
